The Genesee District Library is currently accepting nominations for individuals and organizations to be honored at the 24th Annual Black History Month Brunch. Selected individuals will receive the GDL Award of Excellence, and selected organizations will receive the GDL Partner in Progress Award.

All nominees will be considered by the Black History Month Brunch Advisory Committee, which is comprised of members of the community, GDL staff, and Board of Trustees. The deadline for submissions for the 2025 Brunch was September 30, 2024. Nominations received by September 30, 2025 will be considered for the 2026 Brunch.

Please be specific. What qualifies this person/organization for this award? Please describe community involvement, recognition, impact, and service.
