Purpose
The Genesee District Library is currently accepting nominations for individuals and organizations within the Flint/Genesee County community whose works and/or services support the foundational principles that lead impactful movements, challenge established norms, can be studied by future generations, and leave a legacy that is remembered and can be built upon to change the world one community at a time.
Criteria for Nominee
Works and/or services areas should underscore or reinforce proven foundational principles of impactful organizations and individuals who leave a legacy on which future generations can learn from and continue to build upon. Principles are noted below.
Deadline
The deadline to submit nominations is September 30. Completed Nomination Forms will be reviewed by the Black History Month Brunch Advisory Committee. Honorees will be selected using the GDL’s Black History Month Brunch scoring system. The Honorees will be presented at the next Black History Month Brunch Celebration.
