24th Annual Black History Month Brunch

This ticketed event celebrates the lives and contributions of African Americans and attracts approximately 500 people annually. Each year, Genesee District Library honors three individuals and one organization for their service in the community.

Receiving the Award of Excellence are Baba Kevin Collins, Mayor Sheldon A. Neely,  and Dr. Rabon L. Turner.

Receiving the Partner in Progress Award is the Floyd J. McCree Theatre.

Also featuring a keynote speech by former Major League Baseball player Chris Singleton, and a performance by local vocalist Alina Oliver.
