Driving Directions to Branch

Baker Park is one block north of the intersection of South Grand Traverse and Bristol Roads, on the corner of Grand Traverse and Carman Street.

From southbound I-475 take the sign reading "Exit 4 to Hemphill Rd/Bristol Rd" and go South for 0.3 miles to Carman Street. Turn right onto Carman to enter the parking lot.

From northbound I-475 take the Bristol Road Exit. Turn left onto Bristol Rd. Go to Camden St. (first street west of Grand Traverse), turn right. Go to Carman St. Turn right. The parking lot will be on your right before you get back to Grand Traverse. The library shares a building with the Burton Senior Citizens Center.

Public Computers Available - 7 stations - These computers are connected to our high-speed internet connection and come pre-loaded with the Microsoft Office Suite as well as several other useful programs.

Book Clubs - The GDL hosts and helps organize many different book clubs. This branch has fiction and nonfiction book clubs.

Free Computer Classes and Open Computer Labs - This branch offers free basic computer classes throughout the year. You can even bring in your own laptop! You can meet with our Technology Trainer and ask questions in an unstructured environment.

Book Sales - This branch holds Used Book Sales periodically. You can donate your books (with a few exceptions) to the library for these sales.

Copy Machine - This branch has a copy machine that makes one sided black and white copies. Copies cost $0.10 per page. The machine accepts coins and bills. Change is given by the copy machine.

Fax Services - This branch offers faxing services. Faxes cost $2 for the first 5 pages and $3 for every additional 5 pages.

Children's Center - Explore a collection focused on your children's age group and enjoy special children's programs.

Teen Center - Explore a collection focused on teens and tweens as well as special programs.
